It is very cool to wander through this old
mining ghost town circa 1870's. Many of the buildings have
been sealed and maintained, while mining equipment and automobiles
dot the ghost town. A church, a jail, stores, and private
homes have all been protected in this State Park. We also
visit Mono Lake as well as June Lake and other locatons.
It takes several hours to wander the dusty streets shooting the
buildings, and the details of each building. Windows allow
photography into rooms abandoned a hundred years ago, tables still
covered in plates and silverware. |

I've spent my 40-year photography career shooting
in the West. The first 24
years based in Utah, the past 18 in California. The
photo safaris that I lead are all to the best locations at
the best times.
